Today the sunshine is reflecting off the snow and it's truly breathtaking. I am continually reminded of the Beauty of God's Creation. Like our bodies it mirrors simplicity, complexity, uniqueness, and the seasons of life.
If you have not yet done this today, I encourage you to take a moment to simply close your eyes, align your body, placing one hand on your chest and the other on your belly. Keeping your eyes closed. Breathe in "deeply" through your nose and exhale deeply through your nose. Do this several times feeling the rise and fall of your chest and belly, the strength of your lungs, the power of breath as it fuels your body and mind. Do this several more times ending with a deep Exhale through your mouth.
Your breath is just as essential to your health and wellbeing as eating well, drinking enough water, movement and all the other things we know are good for us.
